I trust God!

MENTOR FOR MOMS

SUSANSEAY.COM

Recently, I had a painfully honest conversation with a group of trusted friends.

One of those kinds of conversations where there’s a mix of tears, laughter, and lots of head nodding to encourage you to keep going. Nobody was in a hurry to offer me comfort or quick fixes, just space for my feelings.

Initially, I thought the conversation was heading in a completely different direction. I expected to brainstorm about a few ideas that have been on my mind. But once I opened my mouth, grief and sadness poured out instead.

You see, on August 11, 2024, my mom died.

It was unexpected and a story for another day. But since that time, my world has been off.

My routines, wrecked.

My plans, placed on pause.

Everything has changed.

I’m sure you can imagine how deeply this loss is felt. Mom was such a huge part of our family’s everyday rhythm and routine. Now here I am, finding my footing again.

I’m in a much better place today. I’ve been kind to myself by keeping my commitments low and my calendar wide open, because grief cannot be scheduled.

I thank God for the friends and family who have shown up for me.

I am grateful for the time and space to sit with the reality of mom’s absence.

This has not been easy or pretty, but I’m still here.

At the end of the day, one thing has never changed - I trust God!

How about you? What challenges are you facing? Empty nest? New to homeschooling? Finishing homeschooling? Trying to make friends? Grief? Job loss? Health issues? - I can relate to each of these and more.

Let’s trust God together.

I know I've been absent for quite some time. I trust that you and can still remain connected here. I have so much I want to share and great ideas I think you'll love.

Whether you choose to stick around or this is the end, feel free to click reply and send me a quick note. I read every single email, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Until next time...
